An independent voice for independent artists — on a major scale
Somebody owns it. Somebody profits off it.
We put independent artists on the show, tape in Manhattan, and air on iHeartRadio. This is where the ownership conversation happens.
The music industry gets paid whether the artist wins or not. Labels, platforms, middlemen — they own the masters, the publishing, and the pipeline, and it's set up that way on purpose.
But things changed. Streaming, distribution, marketing — you don't need their building for any of it anymore. The legacy companies know that better than anyone, and everything they've done to keep artists locked in anyway is sitting in public record.
That's why we built new instead of waiting on the old companies to fix themselves. They were never going to.
Nobody points cameras at artists who haven't made it yet. That's exactly who this show is for. If the music is real, we treat you like you're already somebody — interview, context, the whole thing.
Most artists lose ownership before they even know what ownership means. On this show we talk through deals, publishing, masters, distribution — in public, in real conversations, before it costs you.
One appearance isn't the goal. When you come on the show you're stepping into an ecosystem — production, marketing, distribution — built to grow careers, not to collect clips.
This industry wears people down. We talk about that too — the pressure, the isolation, what this life actually costs — because you're a person before you're a catalog.
Every artist we feature goes on this wall — name, face, episode.
The wall is just getting started. The first artists on it stay on it.
We bring an independent artist out to Manhattan for the interview and a recording session, and the episode airs on iHeartRadio. That's the top of what we do.
The YouTube version adds the performance we shot at the Studios to the radio conversation. Longer cut, full story.
When something's worth going live for, we go live. There's no calendar. Follow so you're there when it happens.
Segments with the engineers, managers, producers, and operators who actually run this business and never get the credit. They know things you need to know.
The show is the front porch. PLTFRM is the house.
PLTFRM is the infrastructure behind everything on this page — ownership, production, advances, a platform that's fair to artists and to advertisers. The show is where we say it out loud. PLTFRM is where we build it.
You've got music that deserves to be heard. Get it in front of us. It can start with your song on air and go as far as Manhattan.
Nobody from your city may have done this yet. Check.
Follow the show. The live layer only works if you're following when it happens.
